Non-ionic W/O emulsifier from sorbitol and lauric acid. Often paired with polysorbates to stabilize creams. Low-irritation and well tolerated.
Hydroxyethylcellulose
Plant-derived cellulose thickener that gives gels and lotions a smooth, non-tacky feel. Inert and non-irritating.
Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester
Lipophilic neuropeptide marketed as Calmosensine, claimed to reduce sensory discomfort by modulating enkephalin receptors. Evidence is limited to small manufacturer studies.
