4-Butylresorcinol

Potent tyrosinase inhibitor with strong clinical evidence for fading hyperpigmentation and melasma - often outperforming hydroquinone. Effective at 0.1–0.3%.

Adapalene

OTC third-generation retinoid. More stable and better tolerated than retinol, proven for acne.

Allantoin

Gentle soother that calms irritated skin and supports repair. Works at very low concentrations.

Aloe Vera

Classic soothing plant extract. Mildly hydrating and calming for irritated or sunburned skin.

Apricot Kernel Oil

Lightweight oil pressed from apricot kernels. Rich in oleic and linoleic acids plus vitamin E. Softens skin with mild antioxidant support.

Ascorbyl Glucoside

Stable, water-soluble vitamin C derivative. Gentle; converts slowly into ascorbic acid on skin.

Avobenzone

Widely used UVA-I filter. Needs a stabiliser like octocrylene to stay effective on skin.

Azelaic Acid

Gentle multitasker - calms redness, fades post-acne marks, and works on blemishes. Great for rosacea.
